While planning our trip to Bangkok, we had two requirements for our accommodation: rooftop pool and views. Amara Bangkok gave us these and more!
We spent 3 nights at the luxurious Amara Bangkok. The hotel has 250 rooms and boasts incredible views of the Bangkok skyline. It’s located in the heart of Bangkok’s city centre, which made it really convenient as our home base.
The hospitality was A+. We arrived at 9am, which was much earlier than the usual check-in time. The staff were incredibly accommodating, held our luggage, and invited us to dine at the breakfast buffet while they prepared our rooms. We felt so welcomed!
Rooftop Infinity Pool
The hotel feels incredibly modern. The rooftop infinity pool was one of the amenities we were most excited for. And it did not disappoint! The views were magnificent! We came here every morning for a little tranquil swim before starting our days.
The rooftop bar, AkaAza, is touted to be one of the most stunning Sky Bars in Bangkok. We watched the sun set over the skyscrapers and it was magical! They have an extensive cocktail menu and bar snacks.
Rooms
We stayed in the Club Room, which boasts floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic city views. These rooms also have a separate bathtub and shower stall with a rain shower feature. All Club Room guests are pampered with a scrumptious breakfast, morning and afternoon tea breaks, and relaxing evening cocktails daily at our Club Lounge.
???? Pro tip: Only a few rooms on every floor have bath tubs with a view. Be sure to call in to request for one of these!
Dining
With so many dining options in the hotel, we found ourselves eating most of our meals here!
Breakfast in bed never looked this good. The 24-hour in-room dining service at Amara Bangkok has a wide variety of dishes and cuisines, including New American, Chinese, and Thai. We ordered this on our last day. We really didn’t want to leave the room and wanted to soak in the views for a while longer before heading to the airport. It really was an epic breakfast in bed!
The buffet is unparalleled. The Element is their signature all-day dining restaurant, which includes both indoor seating and a refreshing al fresco dining area. We had the buffet on 2 occasions. They have everything from fresh fruit, to dim-sum, to french pastries, to an omelette station. After a morning swim at the rooftop pool, nothing was as satisfying as a hearty breakfast like this.
Our Club Room also gave us complementary access to the afternoon happy hour on the roof deck. They offered Thai snacks, desserts, wine, and beer. We were so smitten!
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the Amara Bangkok. The service and amenities really rounded out our Bangkok experience and we can’t wait to revisit.
