Welcome to Croissants And Caviar. This blog is my humble attempt to capture and share the beauty in food.

From a very young age, I had always been fascinated by food and the ways in which it evoked feelings of familiarity, nostalgia, and excitement. The kitchen became my playground and food my outlet for creative expression.

It wasn't until I started traveling that I gained a new-found appreciation for it. I wanted to eat what the locals ate, find the best representations of local delicacies, and then find more inventive renditions of familiar flavors. This quickly became an obsession. Galavanting from one pastry shop to the next, to hole in the wall eateries, to full fledged 20-course dinners, I came to the realization that eating my way through a city was how I best soaked in my new surroundings.

I wanted to bottle up my gastronomic adventures so that I could relive them one day, because who doesn't want to relive the sheer joy of biting into a warm, buttery, flakey croissant from the corner bakery in Paris. I hope to do just that with this blog. Follow me on my adventures in discovering gastronomic gems, everything from the flakiest almond croissants to more modern avant-garde creations which test the limits of flavor combinations.
